THE LARA TEAM

The LARA consortium is composed of partners who have worked together in two previous projects LISA and LENA. Project activity has confirmed that the partners can and do complement each other in the skills that they bring to the partnership. Common ways of working, effective communication and commitment to both the partnership and the work have led to successful completion of the partnership’s aims. Good team work is a real strength of this consortium.
The project has been promoted by the Hamburger Volkshochshule in Hamburg Germany, with the coordination being provided by bia-net from Graz in Austria.
The LARA training package was written by the Institute of Lifelong Learning at the University of Leicester in England and the project evaluation led by AidLearn – Consultoria em Recursos Humanos from Lisbon in Portugal.
Athena, the Association for Education and Development of Women, in Ostrava, Czech Republic; ZDUS, the Slovenia Federation of Pensioners’ Organisations, in Ljubljana, Slovenia; with the partners in Hamburg and Graz ran focus groups to tests the ideas and then pilot the draft materials with different trainers and trainees.
The Federation of Swiss Volkshochschulen and the Volkshochschule beider Basel in Switzerland were associate partners in the project.
