The training course is aimed at teachers, managers and planners of adult education.
Adult educators need:
- specific skills sets to deal with the learning needs of a variety of learners
- time and assistance to explore what is possible, what will work and to practise and internalise new behaviours
- to understand the place and purpose of learning within the context of ageing
- to develop responses to the individual needs of learners whose background (educational and/or social) will impact on their learning
- to make learning fit more closely with emerging agendas for individuals and communities
