WELCOME TO THE LARA PROJECT
What is LARA?
LARA stands for Learning a Response to Ageing. It is a Grundtvig multilateral project funded by the European Commission´s Lifelong Learning programme. The project ran from December 2008 to November 2010. Its aim was to develop training for adult educators on the theme of ageing and learning. Interim milestones were: the conduct of research; the development and delivery of courses for adults of all ages and of a training programme; the publication of a training manual.

LARA AS BEST PRACTICE PROJECT IN GERMANY
December 2011: LARA was chosen as the only Grundtvig best practice project from the National Agency in Germany. Here is the article in German about LARA.
LARA WAS AWARDED THE 1. PRICE
We are very happy that, on the occasion of the German National Agency`s annual conference on October 13, 2011, the first prize for the best project in the field of competence develompent for adult educators was awarded to our project LARA. Here is the link to the National Agency.
LARA IS NOMINATED FOR AN AWARD
The German National Agency awards a price for good projects. Our project LARA - Learning, a Response to Ageing is nominated. The Award Ceremony will be held in October 2011.

LARA FINAL CONGRESS
On October 15, 2010, the final congress of the LARA project was held in Hamburg. It was a lively, participatory event drawing its audience from practitioners, planners, policy makers and other stakeholders. For more information about our congress click here.
